I've created this page because I want to make a difference.
My Dad has had his Guide dog 'Obie' for almost 6 months now and I had the pleasure of meeting the adorable Eeyore-in-a-Laborabor at Easter. She is a beautiful, even slightly clumsier addition to the Wilson family!
While watching Obie, I was so personally touched by the way she worked every minute of every day to assist my Dad with love, care and protection.
The work of Guide Dogs WA and the amazing support they have already shown my parents, has inspired me to give something back by raising money as part of my participation/attempt at the Sydney City2Surf on August 13th 2017.
Those of you who know me, are 100% aware I am not a runner and may even be concerned about my personal sanity, let alone physical ability. But I wanted to at least give it a go, I mean, how hard could a quick jog up "heart break hill" be?
Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the 'Give Now' button. The more people that know about Guide Dogs WA, the greater their impact so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family. As this may be the last time I may ever run again, my goal is to raise $1000 of much needed funds. Thank you in advance for your generosity, support and concern it means a lot!
